1625 Report

Making an impact

Why this long-standing client returns to us to produce their annual report again and again.

Communicating a message is at the heart of what we do here at ie – and the close relationships we build with our clients help us understand just how to communicate on their behalf. We’ve supported local charity 1625 Independent People for almost a decade as part of our commitment to CSR. So when they approached us to produce their annual report for the ninth year running, we knew exactly what would make the most lasting visual impact.

The annual Impact Report details the work of the charity in supporting young people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. Written to raise awareness of 1625’s projects, it is aimed at the charity’s benefactors, board of directors and potential sponsors to showcase the year’s successes. We devised a design that would present key data and case studies as easy to digest, including infographics on equality and diversity and personal stories under a range of headings – from accommodation support to relationships. The report has a narrative layout, telling the story of the charity’s efforts over the past 12 months, with a warm colour palette and integrated imagery of the young people 1625 has reached throughout.

Hannah Barry, Funding and Communications Manager at 1625 Independent People, is delighted with the result: “ie Marketing has once again designed an Impact Report for 1625ip that displays the range of work we do. It’s easily readable, captures the reader’s attention and reflects our passion in supporting young people. We particularly appreciate the advice from ie Marketing on how best to communicate with our audience and keep our message clear. They know our audience as well as we do!”

When it comes to marketing communications, it’s this intelligent understanding of our clients’ audiences that makes the biggest impact. As a result, we’re embarking on a new project together – collating years of research on working with young people who have suffered trauma into a website that will be a key resource of training documents and learning tools for support workers.
